Original | The Art of a Good Party Dress

The Art of a Good Party Dress is an homage to the lingering magic of tour magic, catering to that little girl inside us all that still gets excited to see a pretty dress. Composed of 49 individual A6 original studies set within a grand A0 framed grid, this piece archively documents glimmers of the wardrobe from the "Art of Loving" this year.

Each piece is reimagined as mannequins, inspired heavily by romantic Disney animations like Cinderella. Each silhouette honours the craftsmanship, movement and nostalgia of the garments themselves: acknowledging the human input behind the fairytales we love so much.

• Medium: Coloured Pencil 

• Paper: 300gsm 100% Cotton Archival Paper, all hand-ripped

• Composition: 49 individual A6 original artworks (~105 x 148 mm each) presented in a floating A0 grid layout. Any images aside from the first frame, and the video reveal are simply digital mock-ups or examples of the drawings outside of the frame

• Framing: 100% cotton fibre mount (museum grade), with artglass AR70. This glass guarantees true colours, while the invisible anti-reflective coating virtually eliminates reflection. It is appreciated worldwide for its consistent quality, clarity and elegance. The moulding is a matt brown square box with an inside ivory slip so that the glass doesn't touch the artwork. All artworks have been shadow mounted on acid free 5ml foam

• Authentication: Accompanied by a hand-stamped Certificate of Authenticity, detailing the dresses and their designers 
  

Due to the scale and museum-grade framing of this artwork, international delivery is coordinated via specialised, fully insured fine art freight couriers. Shipping, crating, and transit insurance are not included in the purchase price and will be invoiced separately after checkout.
